At New Year’s 2024-2025 we are in Iceland, close to Selfoss!
From August, 7th to 10th 2024 we were live at the Olympic Games in Paris!
On stage 131 on 25 July, we visited the site where Ötzi was found (see map below).
On 22 July, our first wedding anniversary :), we set off on Ötzi’s trail on a variant of the E5 from Merano.
After stage 127, we reached Moos im Passeier on 21 July and thus caught up on all the stages of the classic E5!
On 13 July, after a relaxing week of sailing, we set off again from Oberstdorf on the “classic” E5 to catch up on the stages that we were unable to do in June due to the snow.
From 6-14 July we spent a week sailing in the Mediterranean 🙂

After 118 stages and around 3000km of hiking, we reached our final destination of Venice on July 4th! (see map below) ..and still can’t believe it ourselves 😉
On June 28th after stage 113 we reached Verona, where we had tickets for the arena with our parents 🙂
On June 21st after stage 106 we are in Lévico and our new destination is Venice!
On June, 16th after hiking for 101 days we arrived in Bozen.
On June 10, after “stage 96” (and a train ride over the Brenner Pass), we arrived in Moos im Passeier.
On June 2, after day 88, we were in Spielmannsau at the foot of the Alps
On May 27th, after day 83, we reached Bregenz and thereby Austria
On May 25th we reached Konstanz and have already hiked a distance of 2000km in total!
On May 19th we crossed the French border into Switzerland close to Basel.
On May 16th after 72 days of hiking we were on top of Ballon d’Alsace in the Vosges
On Sunday, 12th of May we were on a slug farm in Uzemain
On May 9th after 65 days of hiking we were in Bourbonne-les-Bains
On May 6th after 62 days and around 1500km of hiking we finished half of the total distance of the E5.
On April 29th after 54 days of hiking we reached Troyes
On April 19th after 45 days of hiking we were in Paris
On April 16th after 42 days of hiking we finished the first 1000km of the E5!!
On April 15th after 41 days and 973 km of hiking we were in Dreux
On April 8th after 34 days of hiking we were in Alençon
On March 26th after 22 days of hiking we were in Saint Malo
On March 18th after 14 days of hiking we were in Rohan
On March 11th after seven days of hiking we reached Huelgoat (read more about it here)
on March 6th 2024 we started our hike at Pointe du Raz in France 🙂
